Frere Town Move to Top of Zone A Coast League  

Coastweek -- Freretown moved to the summit of the top tier FKF South Coast Branch Zone A league as Cong Boyz, Shimanzi FC and Mariakani Stars maintain lead in Zone D, Zone C and Zone D respectively following the round 12 matches played.

According to the table standing released by FKF South Coast Branch CEO Sumba Bwire, Freretown top the ten team Zone A table with a total of 17 points from eight matches played after harvesting maximum six points at home following successive victories over Shanzu Swansea and Teita Sisal.

On Saturday Freretown smacked Shanzu Swansea 2-0 before registering another 1-0 victory against Teita Sisal.

Sparki Youngsters, despite registering 1-0 away win over Rabai Sports dropped to the second position with 13 points from six matches.

Schalke -04 from Ukunda completed the third position on the table with 11 points from six matches.

Meanwhile in Congo Boyz cemented their lead in Zone B table with 24 points from eight matches.

The Mwembe Tayari based club opened a five point at the podium after 7-0 drubbing Kongowea United Sports Club (KUSC) PSG.

Kaloleni United who did not have any assignment over the weekend remain in the second position with 19 points from nine matches, three points ahead of third placed Miritini Combined.

Shimanzi FC maintained lead in Zone C with 18 points from eight matches after a recording a hard won 1-0 victory over Poly FC.

Nyota who drubbed FC Shells from Likoni  2-1 are placed second position with 16 points from eight matches.

Magutu Strikers completed the third position on the ten team table standing.

The from Diani based club registered a shock 3-2 away win against Shanzu Youth to completed their first leg fixtures with14 points from nine matches.

Elsewhere Mariakani Stars maintained the podium finish of the nine team Zone D log with 14 points from seven matches following a one all draw against Miritini Stars.

Chicago from Mwabungo are placed second position with 12 points from seven matches on level with Shimo prison that did not have any weekend engagement.
