Super Yummy, Low-Calorie,
Heart-Healthy, Bean Soup

"This is such a Super Yummy, Low-Calorie, Heart-Healthy,
ten-minute Bean Soup.
"I made this today for lunch - ten minutes - my own recipe -
absolutely delicious if I say so myself - grin - so
I thought I'd share it!"


INGREDIENTS: (Serves: for two people)

  • one very large leek or two medium leeks (Chopped)

  • four large cloves of garlic (Chopped)

  • one tea spoon of butter or two table spoons of olive oil
    - (I used butter, just a little for the taste)

  • one can of white beans

  • two table spoons Thyme

  • two cups of chicken or vegetable stock

  • one and a half cups of white wine

  • half a cup of milk



  1. Saute the leeks and the garlic in the oil [or butter] until soft.

  2. Add the stock, beans and thyme, and boil for about five minutes.

  3. Add the white wine and boil for three minutes to boil out the alcohol

  4. Remove from the heat and add the milk.

  5. Add [if needed] some salt and pepper to taste
