announced new e-passports to be issued to all Kenyans after
obtaining a new identity card.
This is possible with a
personal visit to Kenya.
Kenyans living abroad have now protested that they are unable
to travel to Kenya for this purpose.
So Kenya government announced special passport processing
officers to be sent to SIX cities:
Paris, Berlin, Washington, Jo’burg, Dubai, and London.
Why not New Delhi?
India has a large number of Kenyan African students studying
all over this sub-continent who are unable to travel to Kenya;
plus some Kenyan African expatriates who live in India.
Most hit are the Kenyan Indian retirees who are settled in
India and cannot travel due to medical and financial
Thus, can an appeal be made through an article in
Coastweek to the government to consider sending an
immigration officer to the Kenya High Commission in New Delhi to
enable all these Kenyans to obtain their e-passports?
