Izhar finished fifth in
Mombasa Rally and indeed the highest placed coast driver.
The best MMC KNRC crew were Sohanjeet Singh Puee and his
Team Nanak won an unprecedented KNRC double with victory in
the KNRC Group S and Division 2.
The year 2018 was Sohan’s first full KNRC season.
Also honored during the occasion were the Yalfa team of Ammar
"Bushy" Haq and Victor Okundi who were named the most upcoming
Team Yalfa finished second overall in KNRC Division 2
Adnan savoured his fourth award of the season, a double in
the KNRC and another two on the Coast Rally Championship.
"The awards ceremony was really special, to be among the best
in Kenya was a privilege, something many of us have dreamt of in
our childhood, we can only thank the almighty for that.
"Making it a hat trick with the local club championship makes
it even more special.
"Our club (MMC) and members have supported us a lot through
the season, its amazing to be part of such a special club.
"We are ready and really looking forward to next season but
we face challenges ... the biggest being sponsorship, we need a
sponsor to be able to do a whole season otherwise it will
probably not be possible, which will be really disappointing
after such a good season."
