(Xinhua) -- Kenya’s
anti-narcotics police said on Friday they have
confiscated heroin and methamphetamine (meth) worth
millions of shillings concealed in wood carvings.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
Anti-Narcotics Unit said the drugs which were concealed
in wood carvings, rolls of thread and atlas were
destined for Greece and China.
The detectives said the drugs were found at Nairobi’s
general post office and seized after staff got
suspicious of the cargo and alerted the police.
