Seventh Consecutive Win For Bomani Youth of Kilifi

Coastweek -- Visiting Bomani Youth FC from Kilifi pruned Taveta Sisal with 1-2 score line to harvest maximum points from their Taita Taveta tour during the FKF Division Two Northern Zone League Pool A match played at Taveta Primary School ground.

Smarting from 0-3 win over Taita Taveta All Stars, Bomani Youth drew the first blood through Kennedy Kenga in the 7th minute.

Taveta Sisal regained composure and fought back in the 24th minute for a 1-1 deadlock at breather.

Bomani Youth piled pressure on the opponents in search of a breakthrough and had the last laugh through Joshua Mrima six minutes after an hour’s mark.

The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Bomani Youth who have moved four places up to sixth position on the 17 team FKF Division Two Northern Zone League Pool A with 43 points from 29 matches.

Bomani Youth entertain fifth placed Sparki Youth at their slaughter slab at Kireme Bomani, Kilifi County.

Meanwhile visiting Super Matuga surrendered a 0-2 lead to go down 2-3 to Mnarani United in a dramatic match staged at Mnarani primary.

Hamisi Mwamboni sent Super Matuga into early celebrations in the 9th minute and Hamisi Mwap-halu added the second goal in the 57th minute for 0-2 lead.

Then came the moment of madness.

Mnarani United hauled themselves off the canvass and pulled back in the 73rd minute through Ali Rashid.

Andrew Musonye leveled the score in the 84th minute.

Mnarani were awarded a penalty in the stoppage time after a defender handled the ball inside the box.

Ramadan Mandela converted the spot kick sending the goalkeeper the wrong way.

At RG Ngala Sparki Youngsters battled to a barren stalemate with Congo Boys.

Meanwhile, the 2015 FKF South Coast Branch League Champions Ziwani Youth crashed out of contention for the mini league after a 1-3 defeat by Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) during an a thrilling Pool B match played at TUM ground.

In the other Pool B match played at Freretown, Rashid Chimbonda and Brian Young netted a brace each as hosts Freretown FC as crashed FC Shells 6-1 to join TUM for the mini league slot.

With the results TUM top the 9 team Pool B standing table with 38 points, one point ahead of Freretown and five points  ahead of third placed Ziwani Youth.

Tum and Freretown now Join Bilima United, Miritini Stars (Poool D) , Kaloleni United, Ndovu (Pool C) and Kitivo (Pool A)  in the mini league.

Mariakani Stars await the verdict of the match between Shimo Prison and Kishada which failed to kick off following controversy over players identification during checking time.
