Coastweek-- Donors Ms Neela and Shobhna Malkan all
the way from United Kingdom (UK) donated free water borehole
projects at Msabaha Sub Location in Malindi where a population
of about 6,000 villagers will benefit.
The projects are in loving memory of
late Manubhai and Nirmala Malkan, formerly residents of
Mombasa who left the country 30 years ago to live in the
It is after that period of 30 years
that their daughters came to Mombasa where they were
born and decided to donate to their motherland, helping
rural areas where water was needed.
The villagers were very happy and
thanked the donors and Mr. Vinod Dattani “Charo” for
this invaluable gift of water and in tur5n gave their
Giriama tradition dance performance to entertain them,
showing their appreciation for remembering them after 30

around 800 villagers who had attended the function.
