NAIROBI (Xinhua) --
Kenyan police on Wednesday offered 30,000 U.S.
dollars bounty for any information that will lead to the arrest
of three terror suspects.
Charles Owino who issued the security alert also circulated
photos of Mumina Eroba, Abdiwahab Osman Ahmed and Ahmed Dabar
whom he said are planning to stage attacks during the holy month
“In particular, a
group of terrorists led by one Ibrahim Mohammed alias Shariff
Lin Kulul, has been hiding in the mountainous region of Gedo
within Somalia and may be planning to stage attacks on the
Kenyan side,” Owino said in a statement.
He said Kulul has in
the past sent Debar to look for targets to attack in Mandera and
Wajir counties in northeast Kenya including government
employees, warning that others are trying to cross over to Kenya
and stage attacks.
Owino said Dabar was
a Madrasa student before joining al-Shabab. He was also involved
in the February attacks on teachers at a school in Wajir.
He urged all Kenyans
to exercise caution especially around public institutions and
public gatherings and report any suspicious individuals to the
