GABORONE Botswana (Xinhua) --
Botswana will in May play host to the
Rugby Africa (RA) Women Sevens Cup, said the Botswana
Rugby Union (BRU) on Wednesday.
It says 10
African countries amongst them rugby powerhouses Kenya
and South Africa are expected to compete in the 2-day
tournament to be played at the National Stadium in
Gaborone, capital of Botswana.
tournament will take place from 25-26 May 2018.
Participating countries are Botswana, South Africa,
Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Mauritius, Madagascar, Kenya,
Senegal and Uganda.
tournament will be preceded by the Rugby Africa women
General Assembly, which will take place in the week
leading up to the tournament.
Rugby President Dave Gilbert has expressed delight at
the prospect of Botswana hosting a significant
continental rugby event.
