MWA donate Ksh 500,000 to Mabati Technical Training Institute | Coastweek

Mombasa Women’s Association trust donated Ksh 500,000 (five hundred thousand) to Mabati Technical Training Institute Mariakani for Socio economic students for different courses like motor vehicle mechanics, electrical wireman, dress making, beauty and hair dressing etc. Seen [from left] MWA Mrs. Sadhna Doshi, Joint Treasurer Mrs. Ila Shah, Vice Chairlady Mrs. Kaushlya Meghnani, Chairlady Mrs. Suman Kanji presenting cheque to the MTTI Principal Norman D’souza, Hon. Secretary Mrs. Harminder Kandhari, Treasurer Mrs. Damyanti Ved, and Joint Secretary Mrs. Sital Sagoo. Some of last year’s sponsored students who successfully passed National Industrial training authority exams are now employed and some are doing further courses. Mr. Norman informed 90 students get employment. Mombasa Women’s Association trust donated Ksh 60,000 and MWA Ksh 40,000 to little sisters of poor as annual donation for the elderly.

Saturday Club donate a wheelchair | Coastweek

Chairman Anil Dodhia [centre] of Saturday Club, Founded in 1947, together with Hindu Religious Service Centre and club members Sameer Shah and Jayendra Shah donated a wheelchair to Mrs. Rachael Fatima, a polio victim. Rachael was infected with polio at the tender age of 7 years. She has been handicapped since then.
