D&S HO Drought Relief | Coastweek


D&S HO borehole has supplied 54 Koshin engine pumps to the National Irrigation for use in Malindi-Kilifi County. The equipment will be used by Lango Bayo farmers to counter drought through irrigation. Seen [above] are Cabinet Secretary of Water and Irrigation, Eugene Wamalwa and Cabinet Secretary of Mining, Dan Kazungu handing over the water pumps to the community.
 

Red Cross Welfare visit Tabarak Orphanage | Coastweek


On Saturday 4th March, 2017 the Red Cross Welfare Subcommittee and volunteers visited Tabarak Orphanage which is located in Kisauni, Mombasa. This visit constituted as part of the EggBank project, a project aimed at uplifting the nutritional needs of children across Mombasa County. Eggs, fruits and biscuits were part of the scrumptious breakfast which the children enjoyed. Any donations towards such noble cause can be sent to the Red Cross Mombasa Welfare Department. Muslim Youth Sports Club, Mombasa beats the odds to become the first team to bring a traditional volleyball trophy to Kenya. Muslim Youth A gave it all from the first very serve till the last serve in the finals to be crowned the champions of the The Late Fakhruddin Tribali Dossaji Volleyball Cup held in Tanga, Tanzania. Started on Saturday 4th March and ended on 5th March, 2017 a total of eight teams were battling for the cup open tournament all over East Africa.
